We first met in February 2001 at Rick Winfield’s birthday party, hosted by Brad Zinser who was then a co-worker and friend of Audrey’s at Amazon.com and Matt’s best friend from his high school days at the Abbey.  We immediately clicked and had a long conversation that night but never exchanged numbers or anything because he lived in San Francisco and she in Seattle.  A year later, in August 2002, we met again at Derrick Hachey’s birthday party—remembering our first encounter, we hit it off again but never pursued dating because we still lived in different cities.  Eventually, Matt moved to Seattle.  About a year after moving, while having drinks with Brad, Brad suggested that Matt give Audrey a call and gave Matt her current number.  The third time we met up, in 2004, we had dinner at 611 Supreme in Capitol Hill and it was our first date — we’ve been together ever since!  Our gut instinct about each other when we first met proved to be true and we quickly fell in love.  We’ve had the best of times with each other since and enjoy so many activities together including snowboarding, traveling, watching movies and TV, taming our cats (Misha and Zuki), checking out new restaurants and hanging out with all of our wonderful friends.
