If you are flying here, please make your travel arrangements to fly into SeaTac Airport, which is located 20-30 minutes south of Seattle.  You can rent a car from the airport for an easy drive north on I-5 or hail a taxi which should cost approx. $30-$35 to downtown Seattle.  Other options include using Shuttle Express which is a shared-ride van service or a courtesy shuttle from the hotel that you may be staying at.

If you plan on primarily exploring Seattle’s downtown area, we recommend not renting a car as most of the tourist sites downtown are within walking distance of the hotels.  Also, the Seattle Metro bus system provides a Ride Free Area within all of downtown Seattle.

If you would like to explore more of Seattle beyond downtown (such as the Space Needle, the Ballard Locks, visiting Vancouver, etc.) we would recommend renting a car as Seattle’s public transportation system isn’t as convenient as other larger cities.
