We did it! We’re married! Man, the last few days have been such a whirlwind. It really does fly by and time seems to pass so fast. So many of our wonderful friends and family were there and I wish I had more time to talk to everyone! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for attending! It meant the world to us to see everyone present. All wedding-related activities were so much fun: the 4th of July BBQ, the rehearsal dinner, the actual wedding and the day-after brunch. We were also incredibly fortunate to get such fabulous summer weather here! It’s actually unusually hot—today it’s hitting the mid-90’s in Seattle and like over 100 tomorrow…..which is HIGHLY unusual for Seattle! In either case, we were so happy to get such wonderful weather. I’m writing now with 4 hours left before leaving for airport to being our trip to TAHITI! I’m still packing and needing to prep the downstairs to get our floors re-done while we are away. Meanwhile, I’ll leave y’all with photos from some folks that have uploaded pictures online already. Enjoy! See y’all when we get back!

I’m excited to see the weather really holding out this week! The forecast predicts sunny weather in the upper 70’s by this weekend with the next few days and the few days after the wedding being equally wonderful. Woo Hoo!
For those of you out of towners visiting, I forgot to mention that I created a whole section on this website for Visiting Seattle. Here, I’ve compiled some information on getting here as well as places to see. Hope you find it useful!

I’m sleepy. It’s been a whirlwind of wedding related projects one after another for the last few days. Matt’s parents arrived last week to check out some of the Red Sox games—we’ve been hosting them and it’s been wonderful to have them around! We got soooo much done in the last few days, it’s incredible. Check:
- programs
- table cards
- placecards
- favors
- OOT bags and personalized water bottles
- cocktail menus
- picked up our engraved wedding bands
For the most part, all the crafty stuff is done now. All that’s remaining is primarily sitting in front of the computer:
- queue up music for when the band takes a break
- scan all our childhood photos and create a slideshow. Load onto computer.
My parents and brother arrive tomorrow. Last day of work–do a spec review.
Wednesday — host BBQ for friends and out of town friends that are in town. Watch fireworks on rooftop.
Thursday — golf game. Pick up grandmother from airport. Take dance lessons with dad. More airport pickups.
Friday - mani/pedi with girls followed by lunch and rehearsal. Check into hotel. Pick up dress. Rehearsal dinner.
I had a minor wedding meltdown today. The Grand Hyatt, which is where I’m getting ready and where the wedding night suite will be, emailed me this morning telling me that due to an issue with their reservation system, they had to cancel my reservation and move to a hotel in South Lake Union. I about flipped out in my office at work. Called up Matt who marched over there during lunch time and spoke to the sales manager. Within an hour after meeting them, they sent me an email telling me that I can keep my suite and that they’re incredibly sorry. Whew.

We’ve been eyeing the weather forecast like a hawk. Now that it’s less than 10 days away, weather.com has more specific predictions for the weather. So far, so good—pray that it doesn’t rain. Pray that it doesn’t rain. Pray that it doesn’t rain. It rained today and is supposed to for the next few days….I really do hope the rain clouds lift by next week as they predict it to!

I’ve gotten some questions after my recent post about things left to do on my plate….including planning the day-after brunch. No worries–y’all are invited. I didn’t put anything in the invitation. I wasn’t sure if I was going to have one until recently. But yes—it is going to be from 11am - 2pm at our home, 615 E Pike St #404 the day after the wedding. It will be very casual, we’ll have pastries, fruit and smoked salmon there. Drop by when you can and see our home! Hopefully the weather will be nice and we can even head up to the rooftop. Super thanks to Phoebe to helping me plan this! For all of you out-of-towners staying downtown, our home is an easy 10 minute walk up the hill so you don’t need a car or anything. Hope you can make it!

I don’t know how the rest of y’all married couples organize your schedules together, but Matt and I do EVERYTHING in Outlook. Since we both use Outlook at work and we both have Windows Mobile phones, every social activity we plan together is done in Outlook….even if it’s not an activity we are doing together! For example, Matt will let me know if he plans on watching a Red Sox game on Saturday so I know not to plan anything during that time by sending me an Outlook meeting request. In any case, with the wedding in about 3 weeks, I was going through my calendar at work and planning out what needs to be done before I leave when I came upon the week of the wedding, which looks pretty hilarious. Oh, and I’m a total “categorizer”–everything in that purple color is categorized as a wedding-related meeting/event. And yes, I actually sent an all-day event request to Matt titled “Let’s get married”.

Tonight, Matt jumped on a plane with Derrick and Petey to head down to Lake Tahoe to begin their weekend celebrating Matt as a bachelor. Apparently a good 16-17 guys are going! So I’m solo for the next few days, likely catching up on random details of the wedding…

What a freakin’ awesome surprise it was to have the work delivery man bring not one, not two but SIX boxes of wedding gifts all in one day! How exciting! Can’t wait to go home and see who they’re from! My officemate has been rather amused by the daily deliveries. Here’s a picture inside my office earlier today after the first 5 packages were delivered…

Hey everyone—for all those out-of-towners that need a shuttle, I have now updated and posted the shuttle information schedule on the Event Details page. We have also rented a bus to take guests home at the end of the evening with 2 pikc-up times. On the Event Details page, I put a link to a map I created to give a sense of walking distance in the downtown Seattle area. All shuttles will be going to and from the Pike Street Suites so I’ve tried to indicate on the map where this is compared to hotels that I know people are staying at. If your hotel is not shown here, just e-mail me to let me know where you are staying and I’ll add it to this map to help you out.
Anyway, I’m back from Vegas and had a fabulous time. I have many photos to post, including photos from the very beautiful bridal shower the weekend before that Sri & Asayo planned for me.
